The Software License Compliance Report displays a graphical and tabular report on the number of licenses, their usage, and over usage. For information about reports, see Viewing Reports.
The primary purpose of this report is to track the licenses a customer own and the licenses they actually use. It will help you to track the licenses which are procured, but not assigned or the licenses got assigned but not installed or not in usage. It will help you to re-assign the unused licenses and to potentially trace the anomalous installations.
