Configuring Jobs for Device Maintenance

You can configure Jobs for the maintenance of devices.
To Configure Jobs:
- Select Operations >Configuration > General > Maintenance.
- On the MAINTENANCE page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
- Click the Filters icon and select the Tenant. Fill in the other required details in the MAINTENANCE page. For more information about fields on the MAINTENANCE page, see Field Description.
- Click SUBMIT. The Maintenance details are saved.

The following table describes the fields on the MAINTENANCE page:
Field
Description
DETAILS
Device Type
Lists the configured Device Types. Select the Device Type for which maintenance is required and the Job is configured.
Job Name
Type in the name for the Maintenance job.
Remarks
Specify the remarks, if any.
Send Mail To
Type in the e-mail address of the users to whom the alert/notification e-mails about the Maintenance details need to be sent in To list.
Schedule Type
Select the Schedule type for the Maintenance job as Recurring or One Time. Based on the value selected in this field, the other fields are displayed on the page.
Enabled
Indicates the status of the Maintenance job.
- If selected, the Maintenance job is active.
- If not selected, the Maintenance job is inactive.
Device
Select this check box to configure Maintenance job for Devices.
Device Group
Select this check box to configure Maintenance job for Device Groups. If this check box is selected, a Device Group list displayed. Select the appropriate Device Groups from the list.
Customer
Lists the configured Customers. Select the Customer from the list.
Location
Lists the configured Locations. Select the Location from the list.
OS Type
Lists the configured Operating System types. Select the OS Type from the list.
Devices
Lists the configured Devices. Select the Devices from the list for which you want configure the Maintenance job.
Frequency
Occurs
Select the frequency of the Maintenance job as Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Based on the value selected in this field, the other fields are displayed on the page.
Recurs Every
Type in the number of days the Maintenance job should recur.
Daily Frequency
Starting At
Select the hour and minute the Maintenance job should start.
Ending At
Select the hour and minute the Maintenance job should end.
Note: If the End At time is selected less than the Starting At time, the Next Day validation is displayed to indicate that the Maintenance job is scheduled till the next day for the specified time.
Duration
Start Date
Select the start date for the Maintenance job. There is no end date for the recurring job. If the Schedule Type for the Maintenance job is selected as One Time, then end date needs to be specified.
ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the MAINTENANCE page.
Filters
Click the FILTERS icon to specify a particular filter criteria to display the events. On clicking the Filters icon, the FILTERS pop-up page is displayed. Select the required details and click SUBMIT.

SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Maintenance Jobs for the selected Tenant.

- To modify a Maintenance Job, click the configured Job Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
Click the Include Inactive check box to view the inactive Maintenance Jobs.
Note:
When the configured Maintenance Jobs are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Maintenance Job.
