Allocating Concurrent License

You can allocate Concurrent Licenses to a Domain, Tenant, or Workgroup on the CONCURRENT LICENSE ALLOCATION page (see: Concurrent License Allocation).

To allocate Concurrent License:

  1. Select Admin > Advanced > License > Concurrent License Allocation. The CONCURRENT LICENSE ALLOCATION page is displayed.

  2. On the DETAILS section, select the License Type from the drop-down list. Based on the selection, the total number of purchased, the total number of allocated licenses, and available concurrent licenses are displayed. On the LICENSE DETAILS section, you can view the Domains, Tenants, and Workgroups configured under the selected license type.
  3. Expand the Domains, Tenants, and Workgroups. You can view a threads containing the insides of the license counts under each Domain, Tenant, or Workgroup.
  4. Right-click on the thread to update and select Configure. The LICENSE ALLOCATION pop-up page is displayed.
  5. On the LICENSE ALLOCATION pop-up page, type in the number of licenses in the License Limit field.

  6. Click SUBMIT.

    Note:

    • If the count of the total number of Concurrent Licenses is decreased and the updated count is less than the previously configured license count, you have to allocate the Concurrent Licenses again.
    • If the updated count is greater than the previously configured license count, no action is required.
    • If all the Concurrent Licenses for a Tenant are consumed and still some more Concurrent Analysts need to sign in, the Application allows the Analysts to sign in as Concurrent Analyst using the available application pool licenses under the Domain as displayed in the Available Domain Licenses field.
  7. After configuring and submitting the Concurrent License Allocation details, the users are notified with a Confirm Session Termination pop-up message to terminate all the Concurrent Analyst sessions of the selected License Type, to avoid report-related issues. Click OK to configure the licenses.

Click REFRESH to refresh the page.

ALLOCATION REPORT

The ALLOCATION REPORT option displays the Concurrent License Allocation Report based on the License Type selected on the Concurrent License Allocation Report page. This is useful to understand the current Concurrent License allocation and check the license usage.

Prerequisites

To configure the ALLOCATION REPORT on the ACTIONS panel of the CONCURRENT LICENSE ALLOCATION page, enable the Report check box on the ROLE TEMPLATE - MENU CONFIGURATION page (Admin > Basic > Users > Role Template > Select the General Admin from the List > Select ADMIN under the MODULES of ROLE TEMPLATE - MENU CONFIGURATION page > Under License module > Select the Concurrent License Allocation > Enable the Report check box). For more information, see Role Template Menu Configuration.

To view the Concurrent License Allocation Report:

  1. Click ALLOCATION REPORT under the ACTIONS panel of Concurrent License Allocation page.
  2. Select the License Type on the Concurrent License Allocation Report page.

  3. Click Domain/Tenant/Workgroup on the report to view the consumed license details. For example, License Allocated, License Consumed, Pool Licenses, and Consumed Pool Licenses. The respective pop-up page displays the License Allocated, License Consumed, Pool Licenses, and Pool License Consumed details.

  • Click  and  icons are used to zoom in and zoom out the report on the Concurrent License Allocation Report page.
  • Click  to refresh the Concurrent License Allocation Report page.
