Software Request Mapping Form

Multiple software can be mapped to a single catalog using the Software Request Mapping Form

To map the Software to a catalog:

  1. Click Asset > Configuration > Software > Software Request Mapping Form. The SOFTWARE REQUEST MAPPING FORM page is displayed.
  2. Provide the appropriate data in the fields and click SUBMIT. For more information about the fields on the SOFTWARE REQUEST MAPPING FORM page see, Field Description.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the SOFTWARE REQUEST MAPPING FORM page:

Field

Description

Tenant

Select a Tenant for which you want to map key fields for a specific Category.

Service Catalog Name

Select the Service Catalog Name for which a Software must be mapped.

Package Name

Enter the Name of the Package to be configured.

Publisher Name

Select the Name of the Publisher from the drop-down.

License Name

Select the Name of the License from the drop-down.

Software Version

Select the requested Software Version from the drop-down.

Service PackSelect the Service Pack

Package Source

Select the Package Source from the drop-down. .

Software Package

Specify the requested Software Package. Applicable only for SUMMIT Software Package is selected.

Parameter 1

Specify any value which is mapped during script execution. Parameter 1 is not applicable for SUMMIT Software Package.

Parameter 2

Specify any value which is mapped during script execution. Parameter 2 is not applicable for SUMMIT Software Package.

SCCM Collection ID

Specify the Microsoft SCCM Collection ID for selected software. Assets are added to the specified collection ID during deployment.

Applicable only when SCCM is selected as Package Source.

Validate License

Select from options (Yes/No) to Validate License.

Active

Specifies the status of the Software Request Mapping if Active.


Note:

During the FORM BUILDER configuration for the Publisher, License Name, Service Pack, and Version fields, specify the options, Types, and Parent as given in the following table: See:

To deploy a Software, configure Orchestration action with the Script Type as Software Installation and Script Source as Asset Software Package.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the SOFTWARE REQUEST MAPPING FORM page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured software mapping requests.

Filters

Click the Filters icon to the list of requested Software by the end user. On clicking the Filters icon, the FILTERS pop-up page is displayed. Specify the filter criteria and click SUBMIT.

The following table describes the fields on the FILTERS pop-up page:

Field

Description

Tenant

Select the Tenant from the list. The software mapping requests associated with the selected tenant will be displayed.

Publisher Name

Select the Publisher name. The software mapping requests associated with the selected publisher will be displayed.

License Name

License name is populated based on the selected publisher. Select the License name.

Software Version

Select the software version.

Software PackSelect the software pack.
Software Catalog NameSelect the software catalog name.


ADD NEW

When the software mapping request list is displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW button is displayed on the ACTIONS panelClick ADD NEW to create a new software mapping request.

PRINT

Click print icon to generate the print of the records available on the current page.

EXPORT TO EXCEL

Click EXPORT TO EXCEL to export the Service Request List to a Microsoft Excel sheet. 

EXPORT ALL

Click EXPORT ALL to all the Service Request details to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
