Configuring Risk Questions and Answers

What are Risk Questions?

An Authorizer or CAB Approver can assess the Risk in a CR by viewing the Risk values under the RISK tab of the CR. The value is displayed based on the answers for the Risk Questions. The Risk Questions and Answers can be configured on the RISK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page.

To configure Risk Questions and Answers:

  1. Click Change > Configuration > Risk Questions And Answers.
  2. Click ADD NEW. The RISK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page is displayed.

  3. Select the Tenant, enter the required fields, and click SUBMIT. A Risk Question and Answer is configured with the Risk Rating. For more information about the fields on the RISK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the RISK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page:

Field

Description

Risk Category

Select the required Risk Category in the drop-down list. The following option are available:

  • Operational Risk: If the Risk impacts the operation of the CI.
  • Business Risk: If the Risk impacts the business.

Question 

Type in the Risk Question.

Answer 

Type in the Answers for the Risk Question.

Risk 

Specify the Risk value for a particular answer and click  to associate the value with the answer.
Note: Risk Value is a numeric value associated with each Risk Answer. The value for all the Risk Answers are added to display the overall Business or Operational Risk value of a CR. The value is displayed under the RISK tab of the CR (see: Creating Change Records (CRs).

Sort Order

Type in the sequence number at which you want to display the question.

Active

Select the check box to activate the Risk Question and Answer.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the RISK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the list of all configured Risk Questions And Answers for a Tenant.

  • To edit a Risk Question and Answer, click the name of the Question. Make the required changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive Risk Question and Answer values, select the Include Inactive check box.

Note:

When the Risk Questions and Answers are displayed in a list, the following icons are displayed on the ACTIONS panel:

  • ADD NEW: Click ADD NEW to configure a new Risk Question and Answers.
  • CONFIGURE TOOLTIPS: Click CONFIGURE TOOLTIPS to configure tooltip messages for Business Risk, Operational Risk and Overall Risk fields. The configured tooltip messages are displayed when the user points to the Business Risk, Operational Risk and Overall Risk fields under the RISK tab of the CHANGE RECORD DETAILS page.
