What is IPSLA?
IPSLA (Internet Protocol Service Level Agreement) sends data across the network to measure performance between multiple network locations or across multiple network paths. It simulates network data and IP services and collects network performance information in real time. It uses generated traffic to measure network performance between two networking devices.
Advantages
An IPSLAs operation performs a network measurement from the Source Device to a Destination in the network using a specific protocol, such as UDP, ICMP, Path jitter, and so on. IPSLA collects a unique subset of the following performance metrics:
- Round Trip Time
- Latency
- Jitters
- Packet Loss
- Voice Score
Monitoring IPSLA Parameter
You can configure to monitor IPSLA parameter on the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page (Operations > Configuration > General > Service Entitlement). You can view the monitored values under the IPSLA tab on NETWORK DEVICE DETAILS pop-up page. You can view IPSLA report for the selected devices, date range, location, and so on.
