Approving Change Records

A CAB member who is configured as an Approver by the Administrator has the privilege to Approve, Reject or Refer Back a Change Record (CR). By default, a CAB member who is not having approval privilege can object to a CR. If any user has delegated the approval role to you, you can also approve that user's CRs (see: Delegating Role in SummitAI Platform Module).

To approve or reject Change Requests:

  1. Select Change > User > Approve Change Requests.
  2. On the APPROVE CHANGE REQUESTS page, a list of CRs awaiting your approval is displayed under LIST table.

  3. Click the CR No. of the Change Record you want to approve or reject. On the CHANGE RECORD ID page, click APPROVAL icon on the ACTIONS panel.

  4. On the APPROVAL pop-up page, select the approval status from the list as Approved, Rejected or  Refer Back.  Specify your remarks and click SUBMIT. The fields on this page are read only, if you are not the CR Authorizer or CAB member for the selected CR. 

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the APPROVE CHANGE RECORDS List page.

Filters

Click the Filters icon to specify a particular filter criteria to display the CRs. On clicking the Filters icon, the FILTERS pop up page is displayed. The following table describes the fields on the FILTERS page:

Description

Tenant

Select the Tenant from the list.

Change Type

Select the Change Type from the list

Owner Workgroup

Select the Owner Workgroup from the list.

Status

Select the status from the list.

Assigned Workgroup

Select the assigned Workgroup from the list.

Initiator

Type in the name of the initiator.

Change Record ID

Type in the CR IDs in the From and To text boxes.

Configuration Items ID

Type in the CI Ids in the From and To text boxes.

Registration From Date

Select the registration from date.

Registration To Date

Select the registration to date.

Planned Start Date

Select the planned start date.

Planned End Date

Select the planned end date

Analyst

Select the name of the Analyst from the list to whom the CR is assigned.

Priority

Select the Priority from the list.

Approval Action

Select the Approval Action from the list.
