Adding Fixed Assets

You can add Fixed Assets (see: Asset Types). You can add details, such as serial number, model number, date, system name, and so on for a selected Category of Fixed Asset.
To add a Fixed Asset to the Asset Inventory:
- Select Asset > User > Manage Assets > Asset Inventory.
- Click FIXED on the ASSET INVENTORY page. For more information about selecting an Asset type, see Asset Inventory.
- On the ACTIONS panel, click ADD.
- On the ADD ASSET page, select the Tenant, Category, Data Template and Store. Based on the selected Category, the details are displayed. For more information about the fields on the ADD ASSET page, see Field Description.
- Click SUBMIT.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the ADD ASSET page:
Field | Description |

Category | Select the Asset Category for which you want to add an Asset. |
Data Template | Select the Data Template to populate fields under the GENERAL tab with the data available in the Template. |
Store | Select a Store to which you want to add the Asset. |
Specify the details of the Asset that you want to add.

Attachment Field
Upload any file(s) related to the Asset.
Multiple attachments against a single file upload control can be done by two methods:
- By attaching one file at a time and clicking on SUBMIT to save the file and perform the same action again.
- By selecting multiple files at the same time (using CTRL button) and then SUBMIT the files to save it.
The attachment details are displayed upon submitting as follows:
- File Name- Displays the name of the attached file
- Attachment Date- Displays the date of the file attached with time stamp.
The maximum size of the file upload is 4MB.
Administrator can customize the size of file upload in web.config.
The number of attachment fields and the attachment limit (Single or Multiple) can be configured based on the requirement through Form Builder option.

You can link or unlink Contract(s) from the Asset using the Link or De-link option, respectively. When you link a Contract to the Asset, the Contract is displayed under the RELATIONSHIP tab.

To link a Contract to the Asset:
- Under the RELATIONSHIP tab, in the Link drop-down list, select LinkContract.
- On the RELATIONSHIP pop-up page, ensure that Link Contract is selected in the Relation drop-down list, and then click SEARCH. The list of Contracts are displayed.

To unlink a Contract from the Asset:
- Select the Contract under the RELATIONSHIP tab, and then click De-Link.
