Global Search enhancement in CI column attributes

The Global Search icon is available on the top panel of the Application where the users can search for a specific text in the users (User), menu items (Menu), and modules, such as Incident, Request, Asset, Change, ProblemCMDB, Network, Server, Procurement, Knowledge, and Workorder.

To search for a CI, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the icon on the Application. The following pop-up page is displayed.


  2. Select CMDB and enter the keyword in the search box that you want to search and click the   icon.
    The search results are displayed on the pop-up page. Also, the keyword or search text on the search results is highlighted.

  3. The following column attributes of the CI are displayed on the Global Search list of CMDB.

    • Host Name: Display the device name.
    • Serial No: specify unique number associated  with the CI.
    • CI Owner: Mentions the owner of the searched CI.
