Change Records for Retrospective Changes
Feature released in SummitAI Service Management (#25573/25598/26444, SIERRA SP1 HF05, Change Management)
What's New?
Now, the Analysts can create Change Records for the changes which are implemented already (retrospective changes). This helps the customers to keep track of all the retrospective changes with actual date and time (past date and time) using the SummitAI Application.
How it Works?
On the TENANT page (Admin > Basic> Infrastructure > Tenant > Select a Tenant > Click CONFIGURE DETAILS on the ACTIONS panel > Select CHANGE MANAGEMENT from MODULES), a new field, Retrospective Change Types is added. The Administrators can select the Change Types from the drop-down list based on the requirements. For the selected Change Types the Analysts can create a retrospective change record.
On the NEW CHANGE RECORD page (Change > User > New Change Record > Select a Change Type configured as Retrospective Change Types > Click GENERAL /TEST/IMPLEMENTATION tab), for the following fields, the Analysts can provide a date and time in past (lesser than the Log Time in the Change Record):
Tabs | Fields |
---|---|
General Tab |
|
Test Tab |
|
Implementation Tab |
|
The Analysts can also provide a past date in the Actual PIR Date field on the POST IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW pop-up page (Change > User > New Change Record > Click P.I.REVIEW on the ACTIONS panel).
Configuration
On the TENANT page (Admin > Basic> Infrastructure > Tenant > Select a Tenant > Click CONFIGURE DETAILS on the ACTIONS panel > Select CHANGE MANAGEMENT from MODULES), a new field, Retrospective Change Types is added. Select the Change Types from the drop-down list for which Retrospective Change Records can be raised.

Note:
The Retrospective Change Types configuration will not impact the existing Change Records.
Example
Let's consider that the Administrator selected Retrospective Change Types as Normal on the TENANT page.
On the NEW CHANGE RECORD page, if the Analyst selects the Change Type as Normal, the Analysts can choose dates in past for the above-mentioned date fields (See: Above Table).

Note:
If a Change Record is created for the Change Type configured as Retrospective Change Type, on the CHANGE HISTORY pop-up page, you can view a field Retrospective Change with as value as Yes. This setting is used throughout the life cycle of the CR irrespective of the configuration changes.
