On the SCRIPT/SNMP THRESHOLDS page, you can configure the thresholds for the SNMP and Script parameters. You can also configure the ACTION TEMPLATE and INCIDENT TEMPLATE for the parameters. Based on the selected Action template and Incident template, actions are taken for the parameters which exceeds the threshold value.

To configure Script/SNMP thresholds:

  1.  Select Operations > Configuration > General > Scripts/SNMP Threshold.
  2. On the SCRIPT/SNMP THRESHOLDS page, click the Filters icon.
  3. On the Filters pop-up, specify the required details and click SUBMIT. For more information about the fields on the FILTERS pop-up. To know more about fields on the FILTERS pop-up page, see Filters.
  4. The list of configured SCRIPT/SNMP parameters are displayed based on the specified filter criteria.
  5. On the SCRIPT/SNMP THRESHOLDS page, specify the required information.
  6. Click SUBMIT.

    titleNote:
    • Copy Below (check box under Threshold Status, Threshold Values, Threshold Values, and Incident Template): If selected, the value specified in the first record is replicated to all the empty rows under the selected column.
    • Allow Override check box: If selected, the existing values are overridden by the value selected in the first row. This feature works only when Copy Below check box is selected.

    Field Description

    The following table describes the fields on the SCRIPT/SNMP THRESHOLDS page:

    Fields

    Description

    Serial Number

    Displays the serial number.

    Host Name

    Displays the host name of the device.

    Threshold Parameter

    Displays the configured parameter.

    Priority

    Displays the priority of the parameter.

    Threshold Status

    Select the criteria for the threshold configuration from the list.
    Note: The Threshold status is displayed based on the parameter's output value.

    Threshold Values

    Specify the value for the threshold criteria. 0 (Zero) is a valid Threshold Value.

    Action Template

    Lists the configured action templates. Select an action template to configure the actions for the output from the list.

    Incident Template

    Lists the configured incident templates. Select a incident template to configure the actions for the output from the list.

    Active

    Indicates the status of the Script/SNMP threshold value:

    • If the check box is selected, the configured Script/SNMP threshold value is active.
    • If the check box is cleared, the configured Script/SNMP threshold value is inactive.

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the  SCRIPT/SNMP THRESHOLDS page.

FILTERS

Click the FILTERS icon to specify a particular filter criteria to display the jobs. On clicking the FILTERS icon, the FILTERS pop up page is displayed. Specify the filter criteria and click SEARCH.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the FILTERS pop-up. 

Fields

Description

Tenant

Lists the Tenants. Select a Tenant from the list to view the configured Scripts/SNMPs.

Device Type

Lists the configured Device Types. Select the Device Type from the list.

Type

Lists the Types of parameter:

  • SNMP
  • Script

Select a Type from the list.

Parameter Name

Lists the configured parameter names based on the specified Tenant, Device Type,  and Type from the list. Select a parameter name to configure threshold values.

Threshold

Lists the priority of the parameter. Select a priority from the list.

 

SCRIPTS

Click the SCRIPTS icon to configure scripts to add parameters for monitoring. On clicking the SCRIPTS icon, the SCRIPTS page is displayed. For more information about configuring scripts see, SummitAI Platform Online Help.

 

SNMP

Click the SNMP icon to configure SNMP MIBs for add parameters for monitoring. On clicking the SNMP icon, the SNMP page is displayed. For more information about configuring SNMP MIBs see, SummitAI Platform Online Help.

 

PARAMETERS

Click the PARAMETERS icon to configure the mapping of SCRIPTS /SNMP MIBs to a device type. On clicking the PARAMETERS icon, the SNMP BASED MONITORING or SCRIPT BASED MONITORING page is displayed, if the Type is selected as SNMP or Script respectively. SCHEDULE JOB

Click the SCHEDULE JOB icon to configure custom scheduler details for a Script or SNMP MIB. On clicking the SCHEDULE JOB icon, the CUSTOM SCHEDULER (SCRIPT/SNMP) page is displayed. For more information about configuring Custom Scheduler Script or Custom Scheduler SNMP see, Configuring Script or SNMP Thresholds.

 

SERVICE ENTITLEMENT

Click the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT icon to add parameters for monitoring. On clicking the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT icon, the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page is displayed. For more information about configuring Service Entitlement see, Configuring Service Entitlements.
