Creating Views from Drawing Board_AVM

You can create, modify, and specify configuration details of a View. You can create Views in the following ways: Creating Views from Drawing Board or Creating Views from Discovered Devices List.

To create Views from a Drawing Board:

Select Operations > Configuration > Networks > View > Edit View.
On the EDIT VIEW page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
On the DRAW VIEW page, select the Tenant and other required details. For more information about fields on the DRAW VIEW page, see Field Description.

Click ADD DEVICE on the ACTIONS panel to add devices into the View. On the ADD DEVICE pop-up page, select the devices you want to add to the View and click SUBMIT.
Click SUBMIT on the DRAW VIEW page. The Update Device, Server, Printer and Link Details pop-up pages are displayed. Fill in the required details for the newly added devices and click Submit. The devices are added to the View.

Field description

The following table describes the fields on the DRAW VIEW page:

Tenant	Lists all the configured Tenants. Select a Tenant from the list.
View Name	Type in the name for the new View.
Customer	Lists the configured Customers for the selected Tenant. Select the Customer with whom you want to associate the View.
Preferred Location	Lists the configured Locations for the selected customer. Select the preferred Location from the list.
Background Image	Click the Browse icon to select a background image for the View. By default, the application displays black background on the Drawing Board.
Show In Slide View	Click the check box to display the configured view on the SLIDE VIEW page.
Active	Indicates the status for the View. If selected, the View is enabled to display on the View list. If cleared, the View is disabled to display on the View list
DRAWING BOARD	Allows you to create a View of the network diagram for a LAN/WAN. You can add one or more devices to represent the Network Devices present in LAN/WAN. Devices in this section refers to the units that mediate data in a network. For Example: Switches, Routers, Bridges, Firewalls, Modems, Proxy, Computer, and so on. Different statuses of a device are indicated using color codes. Blue: Indicates the device is up and active. Yellow: Indicates the device is in alert mode. Red: Indicates the device is down. Amber: Indicates the device has reached high threshold. You can add one or more devices to create network diagram of LAN/WAN. Links here refers to the connectors between two devices. Different statuses of a link is indicated using color codes. Green: The link between the devices is up and active. Yellow: The link between the devices is in alert mode. Red: The link between the devices is down. Amber: The link between the devices has reached high threshold.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the DRAW VIEW page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Views for the selected Tenant.

To modify a View, click the configured View Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
To display the inactive Views, click the Include Inactive check box.

ADD DEVICE

Click ADD DEVICE to add a device to the View.
