You can add the Servers discovered using configured Jobs or through Discovery for monitoring.
To save discovered Servers:
- Select Operations > Configuration> Servers > Save Discovered Server. The SAVE DISCOVERED SERVER page is displayed.
- On the SAVE DISCOVERED SERVER page, select the filter criteria on the FILTERS pop-up page. Based on the filter criteria, list of Servers is displayed. For more information about the fields on the SAVE DISCOVERED SERVER page, see Field Description.
- Select the check box corresponding to the Server details, which you want to add for monitoring. Click SUBMIT.

The following table describes the fields on the SAVE DISCOVERED SERVER page:

Description
Check box
Select the check box for the discovered Servers that you want to save.
Host Name
Displays the host name of the Server.
Serial Number
Displays the serial number of the Server.
Primary IP
Displays the primary address of the Server. Lists the other IP addresses that are added to the Server. Modify the value, if required.
Server Type
Lists the configured Server types. Select a Server type for the Server.
Operating System
Displays the Server OS Type. Lists the configured OS types. Modify the value, if required.
Vendor
Displays the Server Vendor name. Lists the configured Vendor names. Modify the value, if required.
Customer
Lists the configured Customer names. Select a Customer name for the Server from the drop-down list.
Location
Lists the configured Location names. Select the Server Location name from the drop-down list.
To E-mail ID
Type in the e-mail address of the people to whom the alert and notification mails about the Server status need to be sent in “To” list.
- Alert Mail: The Alert e-mail is sent whenever a Server crosses the Threshold.
- Notification Mail: The Notification e-mail is sent whenever a Server status changes to Up from Down and also when a Server Utilization
crosses the specified Threshold.
Monitoring Source
Lists the configured monitoring source types.
- Summit Server: It refers to the machine, where Summit Server is installed. Select this option to perform the monitoring operation from this Server.
- Proxy Agent: It refers to the machine configured at a client location for sending monitored data of the client machines to the Summit Server.
- Select this option to perform the monitoring operation from this Server.
Server Category
Lists the options to specify the Server Category: Decommissioned, Development, Maintenance, Production, Sand Box, and Staging. Select an option from the drop-down list to specify the Server Category.
Run at Proxy
This field is enabled only if you select the Source as Summit Proxy. Lists the Proxy Server names that are configured in the Proxy Agent tool. Select a Proxy Server from which you want to execute the mailbox operations.
Service Entitlement
Lists the configured Service Entitlement options. Select a Service Entitlement.
Copy Below (check box)
If selected, the value that is selected in the first row of that column is replicated to all the rows, which are empty.
ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the SAVE DISCOVERED SERVER page.
Filters
Click the Filters icon to specify a particular filter criteria to display the Servers. Specify the required details on the FILTERS pop-up. For more information about the fields on the FILTERS pop-up, see Field Description.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the FILTERS pop-up:
Fields | Description |
---|---|
Tenant | Lists the configured Tenants. Select a Tenant from the list to display the Servers mapped to that Tenant. |
Monitoring Source | Lists the monitoring sources for the Server. Select the monitoring source from the list to view the Servers configured for the selected monitoring source. |
Proxy | Proxy field is displayed only if the Monitoring Source is selected as Proxy Server. Specify the proxy from the drop-down list. |
Job Name | Lists the Job names. Select the Job name from the list to view the Servers. |
View | Lists the views. Select the view from the list. |
