CMDB data from the Azure system as Configuration Items
OverviewÂ
New Fields have been added to Azure discovery for virtual machines to fetch CMDB Data from Azure system and update as configuration items. These fields once discovered will be moved to common discovery section. This is conducted by enabling a key in the proxy server. Â
Mandatory fields:Â
- Number of CPUsÂ
- Number of Disks
- RAM SizeÂ
- Operating System Version

After migrating this data, CMDB option Import Discovery Data can be used to convert this Data into Configuration Items (CI). Â

ProcedureÂ
To import Discovery Data, perform the following steps:Â
- Select TenantÂ
- Select Classification Data.Â
- Click Submit.
- After submission, any data that was not discovered will be populated. Select the desired data that needs to be imported, click on Next.

The imported data will reflect in the list of CIs.Â
