Maintenance Page Enhancements

Read Complete Release Notes

Feature released in SummitAI IT Operations Management (Denali)

What's New?

Following enhancements are made on the MAINTENANCE page:

  • To filter the Maintenance jobs, a new Status field with options, such as Completed and Scheduled are added on the FILTERS pop-up page. An additional column, Status, is added on the MAINTENANCE list page to display the status of the Maintenance jobs based on the filter criteria.
  • Instead of creating two windows for the overnight Maintenance, Administrators can schedule the Maintenance Job in a single window.

Business Benefit

  • Administrators or Analysts can view devices based on the Maintenance status (Completed or Scheduled). This helps the Analyst to take an immediate action on the Scheduled Maintenance jobs.

  • Instead of scheduling two separate Maintenance windows for the overnight job, Administrators can schedule a single Maintenance window.

UI Changes

New Status check boxes, Completed and Scheduled are added on the FILTERS pop-up page of the MAINTENANCE page, Completed and Scheduled. For more information, see Configuring Jobs for Device Maintenance.

In the earlier versions of the SummitAI application, the Administrators had to create two different Maintenance Windows to add a Device or Server for overnight maintenance.

Example:

Administrator wants to keep the Device A in maintenance from 18:00 hrs today to the next day 9:00 a.m. For this the Administrator had to create two Maintenance Windows as follows:

  1. Maintenance Window 1 – From 18:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs.
  2. Maintenance Window 2 – From 00:00 hrs to 09:00 hrs.

With Denali release, the Administrators can create only one Maintenance Window for the above example.

On the MAINTENANCE page, select the Ending At time (Operations > Configuration > General > Maintenance > Select the Tenant, Device type, and Status > Click SUBMIT > Select the Job from the List page or click ADD NEW to create a new maintenance job > Select the Schedule Type as Recurring > Under Daily Frequency section, select the Ending At time). When the Administrator selects the maintenance Ending At time less than the Starting At time, Next Day validation is displayed to notify the Administrator that the job is created till the next day.
