Autofill Control
Feature released in SummitAI Service Management (#24967 , Denali, Incident and Service Request Management)
What's New?
The Autofill control helps users to automatically search and suggest the option(s) based on the specified keyword. It is useful when the number of records is more in the drop-down list (such as, Common Master, Customer Master, etc.) and user has to scroll the long list to select the required value. It also helps in optimizing the Application performance.
UI Changes
This new field is available for the Incident Management and Service Request Management modules. If configured, the Autofill controls are displayed while creating or updating the following pages:
- New Incident page
- Incident Detail page - GENERAL and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION tab
- Service Request Detail page - GENERAL and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION tab
- Work Order page - Created from Incident or Service Request
- Work Order Detail page - GENERAL and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION tab
- Change History pop-up page - Incident/Service Request/Work Order
- Custom Attribute FILTERS pop-up page - Incident List and Service Request List page

Note:
It is required to select the suggestions while filling the fields. No value will be selected for the field if you only type the keyword but do not select a value form the auto-suggested options.
Configuration
The Administrators should configure the Autofill type Custom Fields for the Incident Management and Service Request Management modules on the FORM BUILDER page (Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > Form Builder).
The Autofill controls can be used in the Incident and Service Request Management to view the tables created in the Web Services and can configure the Custom table dynamic column as a data source. Also, Parent and Child relationships can be configured between the Autofill controls, such as Autofill to Autofill, Autofill to Drop-down, Autofill to Multi value. For more information, see Configuring Custom Fields for IM Module and Configuring Custom Fields for SR Module.
