Delegate Roles on Problem Record

What's New?

The Problem Management module is added under the Role Management section on the USER DELEGATION pop-up page.  Now, the Problem Record Authorizer, Approver, or Reviewer can delegate their role and responsibility on the Problem Record to another user for a specified time period in their absence or any other scenario where the Authorizer, Approver, or Reviewer is unable to perform the selected actions. 

Delegate Role

To delegate roles:

  1. On the top-right corner of the SummitAI web application, tap the Delegate icon . The USER DELEGATION pop-up page is displayed.

  2. On the USER DELEGATION pop-up page, search for the user, specify the duration, and then select the roles under Problem Management. 
  3. Click SUBMIT to save the Role delegation.

Edit Delegated Roles

To edit delegated roles:

  1. On the top-right corner of the SummitAI web application, tap the Delegate icon . The USER DELEGATION pop-up page is displayed.
  2. On the USER DELEGATION pop-up page, click  on EDIT PM DELEGATION. Record of delegated user is displayed.

  3. Click edit icon to edit the roles delegated to user, change the role, and then click SUBMIT.

View Delegated Problem Record

Now, a new field Approver is added on the FILTERS pop-up page of the APPROVE PROBLEM RECORD page. Using this filter criteria, the user who has been delegated roles can view the delegated problem records on the APPROVE PROBLEM RECORD page.

Note:

  • The logged in user can view the Approver filter criteria on the FILTERS pop-up only when the delegation is enabled.
  • If the logged in user has been delegated by more than one user then in the Approver drop-down it will show the name of both the users who have delegated the rights.


To view and approve the delegated Problem Record:

  1. Select Problem > User > Approve Problem Records. The APPROVE PROBLEM RECORDS page is displayed.
  2. On the APPROVE PROBLEM RECORDS page, click filters on the ACTIONS panel.

  3. On the FILTERS pop-up page, select the user under the Approver drop-down and specify the other criteria. Click SUBMIT
  4. The delegated Problem Records are displayed on the APPROVE PROBLEM RECORDS page.
  5. Click the Approval icon on the ACTIONS Panel. The APPROVAL pop-up page is displayed. 
  6. On the APPROVAL pop-up page, details of delegated Approver is displayed.

    Note:

    When a delegated Problem Record is Approved, Rejected, or Referred Back by the delegated user, the same is populated on the CHANGE HISTORY pop-up page of the Problem Record.
