Now, after bulk importing the CIs using the excel sheet, the user attribute data gets populated on the CI details page. The User attribute column in the excel sheet accepts only the E-mail Id of the user. You can also upload the excel sheet with the multi-valued data for the user attribute.

Business Benefit

Using the bulk update feature the user can save the time in updating all CIs at once instead of performing the action one at a time.

Personas

• Administrator configures the User control with single-value or multi-value on the FORM BUILDER page.
• End User imports the CIs in bulk using the excel sheet on the IMPORT CONFIGURATION ITEMS page.

Prerequisites

This section includes information about prerequisites to populate the user attribute data on the CI details page.

•  Configure the User control on the FORM BUILDER page for the required classification of the CMDB module. For more information, see Configuring Custom Fields for CMDB.

Configuration

To view the populated user attribute data on the CI details page:

1. Import the CIs in bulk with the configured user attribute using the excel sheet. For more information, see Importing Configuration Items.
2. Import the discovered data with the configured user attribute. For more information, see Importing Discovery Data.
3. View the populated user attribute data on the tab that is configured with the User control on the FORM BUILDER page. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying CIs.
