Software Baselining is a method of standardizing the software to be installed on an Asset. If a software is baselined and there is a change to the software, it will not be listed on the Software Variance page. For example, if Adobe Reader version 1.0 is baselined and the user upgrades it to Adobe Reader version 2.0, it will not be listed as a variance on the SOFTWARE VARIANCE page (see: Viewing Software Variance).
