Asset Management

When a Bulk Update action was performed, a few assets were not updated. 

User had an Asset Without Defender field, which is a text box field whose value was updated once a week using Excel import.  

When the field was updated as a bank value, few assets were not updated, but the previous Import History had the assets’ successful update records.  

NOTE: This issue occurred for Custom attributes. 

 

Prerequisite: 

  1. Perform bulk update for desired assets through excel. 
     

Steps:  

To check the details of the asset after the bulk update, perform the following steps: 

  1. Navigate to Asset > User > Manage Assets > Asset Inventory
     
  2. Select FIXED ASSET on the Asset Inventory page. 
     
  3. Click the asset count hyperlink for the desired Category and Status
    Fixed Asset LIST page is displayed based on the selected criteria. 
     
  4. Check the data displayed in columns (custom attributes). 
     
  5. Click the desired Asset ID count hyperlink. 
    ASSET DETAILS pop-up is displayed.  
    Check the values displayed for custom attributes. 

The Asset Inventory LIST and DETAILS pop-up displays proper data of custom attributes post Bulk Update action successfully after the resolution.

Using Report Builder only a few reports like Asset Management, CMDB, or Service Catalog reports can be generated.  

When a Tenant is mapped for example to Knowledge or Call management then the Report Type drop down is displayed as NO DATA. 

  1. Navigate to Admin> Infrastructure > Report Builder

  2. Click Filters.

  3. Select the Tenant having only Knowledge Management and Call Management module access. 

  4. Click dropdown Module Name, Report Type and verify if appropriate modules are displayed.
