Configuring Dashboards

The Administrators can configure a dashboard to display the module-based tab-wise BI reports. The configured dashboard can be accessed from the Dashboard menu of the End User Dashboard page. To view the list of default Dashboards, see List of Advanced Reports.

To configure a Dashboard:

  1. Select Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > BI Dashboard Configuration. Alternatively, you can also create BI Dashboards by using the Dashboards tab on the Advanced Reports page (Reports > Advanced Reports, see Creating New Advanced Reports). However, we recommend using the BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page for better user experience.
  2. The BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page is displayed, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Provide Dashboard Name, Tab Name, Background Color, Tab Order Number, and so on. and click ADD NEW TAB
  4. Under the newly added tab, select required Module, Report, Report Format, and click ADD. For more information about the fields on the BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page see, Field Description.
  5. Click  Icon to preview the BI Report in a new tab.
  6. Click SUBMIT. A new Dashboard is added.

    Field Description

    The following table describes the fields on the BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page:

    Description

    Dashboard Name

    Provide the dashboard name. This dashboard name will be displayed under the Dashboard menu of the End User Dashboard page.

    Background Color

    Select the background color. The selected background color is applied on the configured dashboard.

    ActiveIf selected, the configured dashboard becomes an available option under the DASHBOARD module on the ROLE TEMPLATE page.
    Tab Configuration
    Tab NameSpecify the tab name.
    Tab OrderSpecify the tab order. The display order of the tab is depends on the tab order.
    ActiveIf selected, the configured tab becomes an available option under the DASHBOARD module on the ROLE TEMPLATE  page.
    ADD TABClick ADD TAB to add the tab. You can add multiple tabs and map them to the required BI report.
    UPDATEThis button is displayed when you click the existing tab. Click to update to update the configuration for the existing tab.
    Module NameSelect the module name. Data in the further fields is populated based on the selected module.
    Report NameThe BI Reports are displayed based on the selected module. Select a BI report that you want to map to the tab.
    Report PartSelect the format of the report. E.g. Graph, Chart, Grid, and so on.
    ADDClick add button to add the configured settings.
    StyleWidth and Height of the tabs can be configured from this column. The default Width and Height ratio is as width:49% and height:280px.
    DeleteClick to delete the mapped report.

    ACTIONS

    This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page.

    SHOW LIST

    Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the Tenants configured in the SummitAI application.

    Note:

    To edit a dashboard detail, click the configured dashboard. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMITWhen the dashboard details are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW icon is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to add a new Tenant.

To view the configured dashboard:

Prerequisite:

    • The configured dashboards and tabs are displayed under the DASHBOARD module on the ROLE TEMPLATE page. To view  the dashboards and tabs, user must have access to these reports. To know about how to provide access using role template menu see, Role Template Menu Configuration_GM
    • Ensure that you have access to the End User Dashboard. To know about how to provide access to the end user dashboard see, Theme.
  1. On the End User Dashboard page, click the Dashboard menu.
  2. A list configured dashboards is displayed.
