ALinking Service Catalogs to Other Categories
Feature released in SummitAI Service Management (Service Catalog Management, Alps)
Problem Statement
Earlier, there was no option to link a Service Catalog to other Categories.
Example:
Consider a catalog IT Support Help Desk, which is applicable for IT and Network categories.
In this case, instead of creating IT Support Help Desk catalog under IT and Network categories separately, the users can create the catalog under the IT category.
Select the Link to Other Category check box and also select the Network Category. Now, the IT Support Help Desk catalog is added under IT and Network Categories.
What's Happening Now?
The Administrators can now browse Categories and link a Service Catalog to the relevant Categories. A new field, Link to Another Category, is added on the FORM BUILDER page (Catalog > User > Create Service Catalog). This helps in better categorization and organization of the Service Catalogs.
