APatch Management Enhancements

Feature released in SummitAI Asset Management (Alps)

Many enhancements are done related to Patch Management.

Enhancements on Patch Management Configuration Page

On the CONFIGURATION page (Asset > Patch Management > Configuration) upon selecting the Tenant and the Proxy under the DETAILS section, the following enhancements are done.

  1. The CAB download information with time stamp is displayed adjacent to the Proxy tab.
  2. Information icons are added under SERVER INFORMATION section corresponding to Offline CAB location and File Store Location sections.
  3. An Active check box is added under OTHER CONFIGURATION section, which helps users to enable or disable the selected configuration. 
  4. The DOWNLOAD CAB icon is added, which enables users to download the CAB file.
  5. The SHOW OFFLINE CAB DETAILS icon is added, which displays CAB files details downloaded offline. 
  6. The PATCH DETAILS BY PROXY icon is added using which the users can view the Patches downloaded by selected Proxies and can reschedule the already downloaded Patches by clicking the Reschedule buttons.
  7. The VIEW LIST icon is added using which the users can view the list of configured Proxies for the selected Tenant. The users can enable or disable the Proxies on this page.

Scanning Missing Patches and Setting Up Deployment Schedule

Users can now scan for missing Patches on the Asset Groups and Unassigned Groups. They can also set up a Deployment Schedule to download the missing Patches.

On the ASSET GROUP page (Asset > Configuration > Patch Management > Asset Group > Select a Tenant > Select an Asset Group), under the DETAILS tab, two new fields, Scan for Missing Patches and Deployment Schedule are added.

Enhancements on PATCH INFORMATION Page

  1. A new info icon is added next to Download Information on the PATCH INFORMATION pop-up page (Asset > Configuration > Patch Management > Configuration. On the CONFIGURATION page, select a Tenant and a Proxy. Click the PATCHDETAILSBYPROXY icon on the ACTIONS panel. On the PATCH DETAILS BY PROXY pop-up page, select a Patch. The PATCH INFORMATION page is displayed.)
  2. A new info icon is added for the KBID on the PATCH INFORMATION pop-up page (Asset > Configuration > Patch Management > Configuration. On the CONFIGURATION page, select a Tenant and a Proxy. Click the PATCHDETAILSBYPROXY icon on the ACTIONS panel. On the PATCH DETAILS BY PROXY pop-up page, select a Patch. The PATCH INFORMATION page is displayed.) The users can view the Patch ID, Patch file name, and size of the Patch file.
