 Configuring the Discovery template for Windows desktop monitors

 To configure the Discovery template, perform the following steps: 

  1. Navigate to Admin > Discovery > Discovery templates.

  2. On the DISCOVERY TEMPLATES page, click FILTERS on the ACTION panel.

  3. On the Records, select the predefined Template from the list. For example, A template named ‘Windows’ is selected from the Template Name column.

  4. Select the Tenant from the Filters on the ACTIONS and click SUBMIT.

  5. Select root\ wmi from the Namespace drop-down list for Windows OS flavors.

    Note

    • Predefined templates are available for Windows by default. 
    • The Discovery Template currently includes a new column called Namespace.

  6.   Navigate to Monitor Details under the Parameter Name column. 


    Note

    The data for the Namespace is populated from the common master.


  7. Click the Edit icon  under the Action column to view the CONTENT PARSER for the Monitor Details.  

    The     CONTENT PARSER page appears for MONITOR DETAILS. The MONITOR DETAILS attribute fetches the following details as shown on the CONTENT PARSER page.

  8. Click SUBMIT. A pop-up box appears with message Saved Successfully.
