Configuration of Location Hierarchy Level

What's New?

IT Store Manager will now have the flexibility to define the hierarchy based on the requirement separately for Location, Asset Store and Asset Floor. Location hierarchy configuration was available previously. 

The following Attributes are defined:  

  • Location hierarchy level: Drop-down with numeric values from 1 to 10 and one option as Entire Path, with single selection option.  

  • Asset Store hierarchy level: Drop-down with numeric values from 1 to 10 and one option as Entire Path, with single selection option.  

  • Asset Floor hierarchy level: Drop-down with numeric values from 1 to 10 and one option as Entire Path, with single selection option.   


Benefits

Flexibility to define the hierarchy based on the requirement.

Configuration

To configure Location Hierarchy Level: 

  1. Navigate to Asset > Application Settings > Configure by Tenant > General Configuration.  
  2. In the General Configuration section, the Asset Allocation Settings will be displayed. 
  3. In the Asset Allocation Settings grid, Location Hierarchy Level, Asset Store Hierarchy Level and Asset Floor Hierarchy Level drop-downs are displayed.

Field Description  

The following table describes the fields in the Asset Allocation Settings grid. 

 

FIELD 

DESCRIPTION 

Location Hierarchy Level 

Select the level of location hierarchy. Based on the selected value, the location hierarchy is expanded for the Fixed and Non-Fixed Assets. 

 The field value can be selected from the drop-down, where the numbers indicate the nodes in the location. The nodes will be selected from last-to-first order.  

If the entire path is to be displayed, select  

Entire Path from the drop-down. 

Asset Store Hierarchy Level 

Select the level of Asset store hierarchy. Based on the selected value, the store hierarchy is expanded for the Fixed and Non-Fixed Assets. 

 The field value can be selected from the drop-down, where the numbers indicate the nodes in the location. The nodes will be selected from last-to-first order.  

If the entire path is to be displayed, select  

Entire Path from the drop-down. 

Asset Floor Hierarchy Level 

Select the level of Asset floor hierarchy. Based on the selected value, the floor hierarchy is expanded for the Fixed and Non-Fixed Assets. 

 The field value can be selected from the drop-down, where the numbers indicate the nodes in the location. The nodes will be selected from last-to-first order.  

If the entire path is to be displayed, select  

Entire Path from the drop-down.
