Automatized Asset Agent Installation Setup Building

What's New?

Earlier the agent installation setup for all the asset agents i.e., SAM, SSI, and RDP were built from backend using Install Shield application. If a customer had multiple locations, then the Administrator had to build the installer setup individually for each location using location and URL combination.

Now, this asset agents setup building activity is automated and brought on front end/web console. This enables the Customer to request for the required setup for the locations and Administrator to build the setup for multiple location and URL combinations.

UI changes:
New icons are appended on the ACTIONS panel to ease the requesting process and save the requester time.

  • COPY DETAILS

    Copy Details option enables Administrators copy the details from an existing request to the new request.

  • PREVIOUS REQUEST

    Previous Request enables Administrators to view the history of the requests.

  • FORWORD

    This option enables Administrators to send the selected request to the other customer.

How to add a Request?

To add request, perform the following steps:

  1. On the ASSET INSTALLER REQUEST LIST page (Admin > Automation > Asset Installer Request), click the ADD NEW icon on the ACTIONS The ASSET INSTALLER REQUEST pop-up is displayed.
  2. Fill in the required information and click SUBMIT.
  3. Post submission of the Request, the Agent binding setup process is initiated, blob is uploaded, and newly configured link is sent to the configured recipient to download the setup file. For more information about the ACTIONs, see Configuration Asset Installer Request.
