Catalog_to_Change_Mapping

 

Service Catalog can be mapped to any of the desired Change Templates in order to automate the process of creating a Change Request.
Applicable for Global Tenant and configuring the Local Tenant with Global configuration.

Let's explore more about Catalog to Change Mapping in Global Tenancy and usage of Global Configuration on Local Tenants.

Configure Global Tenancy in Catalog to Change Mapping

Catalog to Change Mapping can be configured at the Global Tenant Level which is populated to all the Local Tenants by default.

To Configure Catalog to Change Mapping on Global Tenant, perform the following Steps:

  1. Log in to the application as an admin.

  2. Navigate to Catalog > Configuration > Catalog to Change Mapping.

  3. Select the GLOBAL TENANT on the Tenant list page.
    All the Catalogs of the selected Tenant are displayed on the List page of Catalog to Change Request Mapping.

  4. Click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS Panel.
    This Action will help you to add a new record in Catalog to Change Request Mapping.

  5. Enter the required details and click SUBMIT.
    On performing this, you can create a new Catalog to Change Mapping configuration on the Global Tenant.

    Notes:

    • On the DETAILS section for the Service Catalog, only Global Catalogs are displayed upon search.
    • On the ACTION section for the Change Template for Auto Creation of CR, only Global Change Templates are displayed on the dropdown list.
    • CLONE option is available for the Global Tenant and the Local Tenant after De-Linking.
  6. Select Auto Implement or Auto Close from the dropdown for Set CR status on completion of Tasks.
    Upon performing this action, this will allow you to select a value for the field Set status on Auto Implement of CR.

  7. Click Set fields to auto implement Change Records upon selecting Auto Implement.
    This option allows you to select Change Template from the dropdown list.

    Note:

    Selection of Change Template applies for both Auto Implement as well as Auto Close.

  8. Select Auto Resolve or Auto Close from the dropdown for Set SR status on Auto Implement of CR. This dropdown is enabled after setting CR status .
    Based on the selection, values can be set on the fields which marks the SR status to Auto Resolve or Auto Close.

  9. Click Set fields to auto resolve Service Requests.
    This option allows you to set values for AUTO RESOLVE and AUTO CLOSE.

    Note:

    Selecting CR and SR status upon Task resolution is no longer mandatory. On not selecting the status of CR and SR, the respective modules implementation and closure are independent of the resolved Tasks linked to the CR.

  10. Enter the required details and click SAVE.

  11. The newly created Catalog to Change Request Mapping configuration is displayed on the list page.

Configure Global Catalog to Change Mapping on Local Tenant

All the Catalog to Change Mappings created on Global Tenant gets inherited to all the Local Tenants. This will help the admin to configure global mapping on a Local tenant.

To Configure Global Catalog to Change Mapping on a Local Tenant, perform the following Steps:

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Configuration > Catalog to Change Mapping.

  2. Select the Local Tenant on the Tenant list page.
    All the records from the Global Tenant of Catalog to Change Request is available on all the Local Tenants.

  3. Select Catalog to Change Mapping Name which is configured on the Global Tenant.

    Note:

    The Globally configured value fields are disabled on the Local Tenant.
    That's because global configuration cannot be directly edited on any Local Tenant.

  4. Click DE-LINK.
    This option allows you to edit the Global Configuration on the Local Tenant.

  5. Click SUBMIT to complete the DE-LINK action.
    All the Global Configuration values can be edited after submission.

  6. De-linked Global Configuration will be a Local Configuration for the respective Tenant.
